Time seemingly stood still for me whilst I read this book, I literally could not put it down! This is the second book in the Dark Duet story. I didn’t want the seduction to end.”Olivia I read the book and then listened to the audio, Emily really brings the story to life with her flawless delivery and I give it 5 Stars. It is narraterd by Emily Durante and she is very clever at making each characters voice sound distinctive and differnent. The Audio version of this book is absolutley brillant.

I wanted to hate Caleb and I should have but I just couldn’t. This story is so very well written that you sympathize with the captor and want love him just as much as you hate him. Caleb may have held Livvie captive but in the end it is Livvie that captures his heart. Olivia grows throughout the story, learning more about herself and finding a courage and resilliance that she didn’t know she was capable of. Caleb is meticulous and controlled in all things, he knows how to train slaves and knows what it takes to make them comply to every demand, that is until he stole Olivia and she challenged everything he had ever known and fought against his whole life. Livvie see’s something more in Caleb, the pieces he hides behind, she slowly peels back his layers, turning a kidnapping monster into a tragically scared and lost man. The main character in the story is Olivia (Livvie) who is young and naturally submissive but her naivety and lack of experience has made her curious and somewhat more excepting of her captor’s(Caleb) odd behavior more so than the average person. Brilliantly written to draw you in from the very begining and it’s suspense keeps you on edge to the very end. It tested my moral lines but completely captivated me at the same time.
